The holocaust was a gruesome, and horrible time. People were harmed and Endured horrible treatment, only because of hate. Nobody had done anything wrong, but because Hitler had money and power, he was able to hate on a global scale. But many heroes, who believed they were like everybody else, were a big part of how many people survived. The survival stories of the holocaust are amazing. Now you can see how these two people *out of the estimated 3,546,211* survived.
Eva Galler and her two siblings (ages.15, 16) were told to jump out of the train car. The train was heading to the death camp and her father told her, her brother and sister, that as the oldest they should jump and see if one of them lives. Eva jumped last as the "SS people" sat on top of the rail cars firing their guns. They shot at her and her siblings many times, but no bullets hit her. When she no longer herd the train she got up, only to find her brother and sister dead, the only one she found alive was her friend (no name) who currently lives in New York.
She said "And the first thing I did, I took off my star, and I promised myself never again will I ever wear a star.'
Her story is truly phenomenal!
Jeanine Burk When she was a little girl her family took her to the house of a woman. She still does not know her name. She was not allowed outside, because if she Was found out by the Nazis, she and the family who was helping her would be killed. What's the big deal with Paper clips? During the holocaust Norwegians wore paperclips as a form of resistance. Did Hitler always want to be a tyrant? No, he wanted to be an artist, but was rejected by art school. Who was Hitler's family? His wife, he had no children.
My personal feelings about the holocaust: The holocaust could have been stopped, if Europe did not have such a fragile government, and Hitler didn't have such fragile feelings. Hitler shouldn't have been allowed the power he was, but we cannot fix mistakes of the past; we can only prevent them in the future. The holocaust was horrible and tragic time, full of racist and prejudice people who just happened to be in power. It proved that sometimes it appears evil will win, but that is never true.

Josef Mengele was a horrible Nazi, he was a doctor who worked at the concentration camps, he did inhuman projects on the prisoners (mostly twins) He did horrible things like soeing bodies together and putting other peoples head on others bodies. He experiments were not scientific at all, and of course Hitler did not care and almost like Josef Mengele.
